Established in the summer of 2009, the TU Wien Holding GmbH functions in the form of a financial holding in cooperation with the Corporate Investment Management of the Vienna University of Technolgy. In doing this, a means for reaching the coordinative and supportive goals of the Vienna University of Technology and subsidiaries through information and management control was created. 
 

The roles of the TU Wien Holding include not only cross-functional investment management control, but also the support and advisement of its subsidiaries in the realms of business, fiscal, procurement and economic demands.

Through active supports and representation in the committees of the corporate investment enterprises, the holding construction makes possible the support of steering and performance processes and their accompanying tasks as well as the effective coordination of the interests of the Vienna University of Technology.
The advantages of the holding include the possibility to maximize synergetic cooperation potential in order to provide a contribution to increase competence.
